Detailed specifics:
TORPEDO11 YELLOW a knife for diver (back-up) with a solid steel blade, full-tang construction. Produced by the Italian company MAC Coltellerie. An indispensable piece of equipment for any diving trip.
Blade - with a Dagger profile, 3.8 mm thickness. Made of polished stainless steel molybdenum vanadium W 1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) with high resistance to corrosion, adapted for long-term contact with water. Hardened steel in the range of 55-56 HRC .
Edge - on both sides with excellent cutting properties - has been made with a flat cut ( Flat Grind ). One of the blades is fully smooth ( Plain type), the second serrated ( Serrated type) finished from the tip side with a few millimeter smooth blade. Serrated blade used in diving, rescue and survival knives, ideal for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibrous like ropes or nets.
Handle - in yellow color. Covered with non-slip textured rubber-like cladding, made of thermoplastic elastomer also called TPE thermoplastic rubber (guarantees a secure grip in the water environment), combined with the PP polymer. The ergonomic shape of the cladding prevents the hands from slipping during work. In the back of the grip a hole (lanyard hole) to pull the safety rope. The steel head can serve as a hammer.
